- Why are you calling it TravelArk "2.0" instead of just TravelArk
Nearly everyone wants to keep the TravelArk name but I still need a way to differentiate it from the non-profit regular TravelArk. I use the "2.0" out of nostalgia for the old days when everthing was two point oh.
- Do I have to use this to continue my blogs?
No. While I think TravelArk 2.0 is the closest match to what you're used to, I will continue to support indefinitely the existing TravelArk1.0 including exports to all participating third-party blog sites like TravellersPoint.
You may export to multiple travel blogging sites
- If I start using TravelArk 2.0 and decide I don't like it, can I export my content (including changes made on TravelArk 2.0) to a third party site?
Yes, this is one of the unique features of TravelArk. Unlke all other sites, I will always provide a way for you to download your content and/or export it to participating third-party sites. Philosophically, this site follows the traveller's belief in freedom of movement. I am not going to lock you into using my site for a few extar dollars.
- How was the background to my profile and/or blog selected?
They are randomly assigned for demonstration purposes. When I finish the Trip and User settings pages, you will be able to set them for each trip and for your user profile.
