For the next 150 miles, travel the most scenic stretch of the YANGTZE RIVER as it forces its way through a spectacular series of limestone ridges known as the THREE  GORGES. During breakfast, cruise through Qutang Gorge, the shortest, narrowest and most spectacular of the three large gorges. Then, embark a sampan boat for an excursion up a breathtaking Yangtze tributary. Some of the most stunning scenery lies up the smaller waterways that feed the Three Gorges, the Goddess Stream isthe most picturesque,surrounded by craggy peaks, soaring vertical cliffs and some of the most primitiveand dramatic beauty in all of China. After you change vessels from a floating dock, your guide will take you into the Goddess Stream. Sit back and relax as you drift on crystalline waters among lush vegetation, deep greenmosses dotted with wildflowers. Your skilled pilots will navigate through narrow gorges, Sail through these remarkable canyons flanked by towering cliffs. Along the way, see fascinating sites including the hanging coffins of the Ba people and the ancient plank road carved into the cliffside. Return aboard for lunch, and spend the afternoon sailing through Wu (?Witches”) Gorge, renowned for its magnificent scenery. Dinner is served aboard.
