Blog 6 - Blue, like my Mothers eyes

Wednesday at the Glaciers

Today I popped into the spa full for a full body massage & facial . My first in 2 years. I deserved it.

This meant that I was away with the relaxation pixies when we reached the Glaciers..I have a feeling that I missed some as arriving back to the cabin a misty, awe filled Sammy turned to me & said "I took some photos for you" – the sheer fact that she took pix means it was amazing.

I got to see a ripper though (photos up now peeps) and all I can say is that it knew I was there, I could feel it & it could feel me – we spoke to each other that glacier & I. It was surreal, incandescent, peaceful & really pale light blue, just like my Mothers eyes.

Sandie

Wow! Don't really have another word to describe, just a jaw dropping wow! Ok ...... cold! While Sandie was off being pampered we entered the Glacier Bay area & were cruising along rather slowly to absorb the magnificent scenery. Had to rug up in the layers but worth it & so very happy we paid the extra for a balcony room which is an absolute must have for an Alaskan cruise.

I really felt at peace today, no need for talking or processing of thoughts, just an opportunity to BE & marvel at Mother Nature's handy work. No sound as we glided along, just the occasional crack of the ice but we didn't see any calf into the ocean. Wow! Just wow!
