The long trail for Amsterdam Bar...

Ko Phangan, Surat Thani, Thailand
We had no luck in renting a moped as there were none left, so we had to get a songthaew and meet the others at our destination. Alex picked 'Amsterdam Bar' as a meeting point so we checked the map and they set off whilst we got a songthaew, which cost a ridiculous B500. Alex had us on a wild goose chase as it turned out! We ended up at Ao Chao Phao, a gorgeous little beach that was pretty much empty. There was a 'Pirate Bar' built into the rocky cliff side, but no sign of 'Amsterdam Bar'. We sat and waited on the beach for a little while but thirty minutes or so later there was still no sign of the others, so we decided to walk back along the main road on the look out. After a fifty minute, hot walk we finally heard a beeping horn ahead of us. They had literally been to the other side of the island, slightly lost.

We spent most of the day in the sea at Ao Chao Phao . The sand was rather slimy which led to mud fights as well as body exfoliation. Sam warned us about potential sea merchants, but she actually meant sea urchins! Alex also decided to scientifically explain the reasoning behind the many clouds that appear above an island during the day. I quit my job for a reason Alex! A bunch of geese darted towards Sam about to peck her, but her loud squeal seemed to scare them away. I found a stick that looked like a genuine Harry Potter wand, so I did an expelliarmus charm! The night consisted of getting "Chang'd" in Greenpeace and the crack consisted of one thing, Phil Redmond, plus the ridiculous things that are done whilst drunk. It was a late night...
