2nd Dive

Ko Tao, Thailand
We had a late morning in bed but we still felt tired after ten hours of sleep. We got an all you can eat buffet breakfast at 'Simple Life' restaurant, ready for another day of diving. Steve was late and we all assumed he was hungover, but he claimed to have been out diving all morning. We arrived at Ao Leuk, which was a nice quiet bay. We first of all had to complete some more skills on the surface as well as underwater. I completely failed to clear my mask underwater for about ten minutes, as I still insisted on breathing through my mouth rather than my nose! I also managed to totally un-clip my BCD instead of just taking my arms out of if, so Andrew had to come to my rescue!

The boat then took us to 'Shark Island' dive spot for our twelve metre dive. It was rather scary descending a buoy line and I had to equalize my ears every few seconds or so it felt. I was also first, as was the norm, so I couldn't see anyone as they were behind me and the deep dark sea was below me. I finally turned around to find that Andrew was no longer behind me! He experienced some difficulty whilst trying to equalize so he had to go back up to the surface, which meant I had to do the dive without a buddy. We were shattered when we got back to shore, but also starving so we headed straight to 'Nid's Kitchen' with Alana for something to eat before having an early night.
