The doctor came to see me and explained that I had a very low level of potassium in my blood and a high level of white blood cells in my urine. I explained that I had taken antibiotics for a water infection a little while ago and he thought that the infection mustn't have cleared properly, so decompression sickness was ruled out. I was given antibiotics via a drip and no longer needed to wear an oxygen mask, but had to stay in hospital another night for observation.

We filled in the day by watching film after film on HBO, as we had a flat screen TV in our room, in addition to old-skool cartoons like Pingu and Tintin!
