Dairylea Day

Bangkok, Thailand
We had a nice lie in until 10:30am and didn't fancy another day of walking around Bangkok so we went to see if D&D had any rooms available so we could abuse the roof top pool. We had no such luck, so it was another night in prostitute-ville. We got an awesome bowl of fruit, yogurt and muesli from a street vendor for breakfast. We then went to an internet shop to arrange our transport to Ko Mak. Once that was sorted we chilled out reading for most of the afternoon as I had went and bought 'The Beach' whilst Andrew had bought something that was far too difficult and uninteresting to read, as even he announced after attempting the first page or so. We went to our usual bar for something to eat and I really fancied a sandwich, so ordered a cheese and salad baguette. However, the reality was a stale bread bun with a few Dairylea cheese slices thrown in for good measure. The banana shake I ordered was also impossible to suck through a straw as it hadn't quite been blended until smooth. Overall, not the best food or drink, but Andrew seemed more than content with his Green Curry!

We ate street food again later but this time we plucked up the courage to eat where the locals gathered, even though this meant taking a risk by pointing to a dish . I finally sampled a nutella pancake and a fresh young coconut. We sat on the roadside for a while watching the world go by before going to bed.
