We have clearly found paradise...

Ko Mak, Thailand
We didn't have a great sleep, as we could hear the wildlife screeching outside! We decided to set ourselves a daily budget of B500, excluding our accommodation which was B350 per night. We went for breakfast in our restaurant but as usual the "toast" was at the most warm bread. We then walked along the beach to find an isolated spot, which wasn't difficult as it was pretty much empty. The sun was shining, so we decided to do our first real bit of sunbathing. After a few hours we decided to walk further along the beach and ended up at a place called 'Beach Cafe' which had really cool pastel decor and an old boat as a bar on the beach. However, there was also a scary looking Santa propped up by the boat! We had something to eat before walking back to our bungalow.

After chilling out on our veranda for the afternoon we had a walk along the road behind our bungalow . There were a few little bars and restaurants lining the road but other than that there was no real development. There wasn't even an ATM on the island. We ate at the 'Food Garden' which was fairly good value for money. We had to walk back to 'Island Huts' along the beach as there were no street lights on the road.
