Burger Hotdog Chilli Beer

Chiang Mai, Thailand
I woke up with a hangover that was not justified by the amount of alcohol I drank last night. Andrew went to buy some milk so we could have cereal for breakfast but by the time he got back I was asleep again and did not stir until 3pm! I eventually got out of bed and braved the cold shower. I even managed to put my head under for the first time, but I lost all feeling in it after one minute. We were craving Western food again, so after looking in the Rough Guide for a recommendation we went to Mike's Burger, Hotdog, Chilli, Beer restaurant. It was situated on the main road next to the moat and was basically a hatch in a wall with American style bar stools and a ledge for the food. We have noticed that Thai people often stand over you as soon as they have given you a menu, so Andrew was a little bit disappointed with the choice that he made under pressure! It was the second day that we had eaten a burger and fries, so we really need to change our eating habits as it isn't healthy or cheap.

We had a walk around in search of the Night Bazaar, but we again had no joy in finding it . I'm starting to think that it doesn't exist. At 'Libra Guesthouse' I had a banana shake to top up on potassium and we then searched for somewhere nice to stay on Valentine's Day. We settled on the 'Raming Lodge Hotel', which had better be fairly luxurious as it costs B2,200 a night compared to B250 which we are currently paying at 'Libra Guesthouse'. I am rather excited about having a hot shower and a nice soft mattress.
