Our first trip to Hippy Bar...

Ko Phayam, Ranong, Thailand
We got ready and headed to 'Multi Kulti' for breakfast as we clearly love the place! However, I did change my order by having a 'Healthy Breakfast' whilst Andrew stuck with a 'Simple Breakfast'. We used the ridiculously expensive internet at B2 per minute to search for a flight to Bali. We spent most of the day sunbathing in the glorious sun, though I was so hot I had already been for a dip in the sea three times before Andrew had even been in once. However, I kept getting stung by the sea lice so I only spent a minute or so in the sea at a time.

We went to collect our laundry an hour late but when we got there it was still hanging on the line . I said not to bother folding the clothes but the Thai man didn't understand and just smiled politely, so I sat on the floor with him to help fold everything. We called off at the supermarket and purchased an essential item, nutellla, to have on bread for a well-balanced breakfast. We bought a can of green Fanta and as soon as we both had a drink we immediately knew the taste and smell, which brought back a strong memory but of what we couldn't quite remember! The Thai man from the laundry place came into the supermarket holding two pairs of Andrew's shorts that he had left on the line. Once we got back to our bungalow dark clouds started to appear in the sky and it started to rain, so we went to our restaurant to eat. I wanted to eat everything so I got a banana pancake for dessert, whilst Andrew was happy with a Chang beer. We ventured next door to the 'Hippy Bar' which was really cool. The whole place was made out of wood that had been washed up on the beach, mainly during the rainy season. It was run by a few Thai men who built the place themselves after moving to the island in search of a better life. They certainly had the best life now!
