We had a bit of a lie in this morning, in comparison to our usual 9am natural alarm clock, and didn't get up until around 10:15am. We had our usual egg breakfast before driving into the village to return our moped as our seven days were up. We found a cheaper rental place at B150 a day so we paid for five days, but when Andrew got on to drive, it turned out to be a manual, rather than an automatic, so we had to get our money back. The going rate of B200 a day couldn't be beaten by anyone, so we rented one for five days but it was a banger compared to the nice new scoopy-i model we had just returned. We bought a whole watermelon from the supermarket for lunch before we returned to chill in a bamboo beach hut. However, around the usual time of 2pm the sky turned grey and thunder could be heard once again but for once the rain poured from the sky! We ran for cover into our restaurant and drank tea and coffee, along with a packet of oreo's each, to warm up! We couldn't do much else for the rest of the day as it stayed cloudy and wet so we just lay on axe beds on our veranda. We ate half of the watermelon, drenching ourselves in the juice in the process. I was nice and relaxed when I felt something drip onto my face and down my neck. I looked up to the roof, thinking it might be rain, but there was the lizard that Andrew had spotted earlier behind the bathroom mirror. It had clearly just urinated on me! I was a bit distraught and jumped up out of the way, whereas it didn't move an inch and just stared down at me with its big, brown glassy eyes! 
 
There was another big downpour just as we headed over to our restaurant . The bungalow owners informed us that they were going home to Chumphon for two nights so the kitchen would be closed. After our main course we both had a 'Banana Pancake' as I had read in my diary earlier that it was Shrove Tuesday. We were far too stuffed afterwards and collapsed for the rest of the night, on lookout for our lizard friend...
