Is there a gecko in the toilet?

Ko Phayam, Ranong, Thailand
We woke up early, at around 7:30am, as our neighbour was making a fair bit of noise whilst packing and then the owner came to clean the room. I noticed Andrew had a black eye, which he said was the result of me elbowing him in my sleep! I don't even remember him telling me during the night, but I apparently stirred and talked nonsense for a bit. Andrew was startled when he flushed the toilet as two geckos tried to scramble out, so they had obviously been inside when he had been sitting on the toilet! One managed the great escape by leaping onto the wall, but the other one struggled and eventually settled on hiding below the rim of the toilet. I was also in need of the toilet, but didn't exactly feel comfortable knowing that a gecko could land on my bare skin at any moment. I tried to keep one eye in the toilet but when I flushed it there was no sign of any gecko!

We went for breakfast at our restaurant and then headed towards the pier to return our rubbish moped . We first checked that we could get a nice scoopy-i moped which we had previously. There was one available so Andrew went to return the rubbish moped but there was nobody there so he just left it outside but hung on to the key to return later. I was much happier and felt far safer on the scoopy-i! We drove back round to see if anybody had turned up at the moped rental outlet and the owner came across from the other side of the road, so we gave him back the key with joy! We drove to Ao Mook beach to try and cross to Kham Island, but it was high tide so the causeway was submerged under the sea. We chilled on the beach for a while as we didn't want to waste any time whilst the sun was shining! Andrew went for a walk and when I next looked up his shoes were floating in the sea, along with our bungalow and moped key that he safely put inside one shoe! I also noticed a few perfectly clear, round jellyfish had washed up onto the sand so shouted over to Andrew to warn him against plodging in the sea. We came back to the beach in front of our bungalow and sunbathed for the rest of the day. We were literally burning so went to sit on our veranda and played cards for an hour or so. I was starving but Andrew wouldn't let me eat until later so I got a little grumpy! Instead, Andrew who has turned into a domestic God, made us spring clean our bungalow! The bed was covered in sand so we removed the sheet and gave it a good shake outside, before putting it back on the mattress and rearranging the mosquito net so the gap was no longer near Andrew's face. He also swept the floor and the veranda, even though he has never once attempted to clean a floor in his life! We were finally allowed to eat so we both got a fried curry dish from our restaurant. As usual I started complaining that I couldn't sleep when I had actually been asleep for the last hour!
