CT Scan

Trat, Thailand
Andrew spent the day on 'Google Earth' mapping out the route we had traveled so far. I also started to update my blog. All this was possible as we had our very own laptop in our room! Andrew made numerous visits to the shop, buying mainly Pocky and Chang! As I was still experiencing some chest pain the doctor decided it would be best to carry out a CT scan just to be sure that I didn't have a lung problem. I was taken to the scanner in a wheelchair and had to lie in it with my arms above my head, which was fairly uncomfortable and it felt a little claustrophobic. The nurse then left the room and the scanner started moving forwards and backwards over my chest whilst I had to breathe in and hold my breath until I was told to breath out. I couldn't hold my breath for very long and ended up breathing out too early. The nurse then came back in the room and stood behind my head, so I couldn't she what she was doing but the next thing I felt was a hot feeling rushing through my blood. I totally freaked out as it made me feel really dizzy but she said that it was normal as she had injected something into my blood. The feeling soon passed and I was wheeled back to my room. The test result came back a few hours later and there was no significant abnormality so the doctor decided to continue with the same acid reflux medication and monitor my progress for another day.I had my final 6am blood test and urine test and the results were both normal, so the doctor said I could check out of the hospital. We started the painfully long proceedings with our 'Insurance Company' but we certainly went expecting to be able to leave today. There was a knock at the door and a lady dressed in traditional Chinese clothing entered along with a photographer. She gave me a packet containing two mandarin oranges, which are a typical gift exchanged during Chinese New Year as a sign of Good Luck! I then had to pose for a photograph. We did a lot of waiting around for nothing as it got to 6pm and the hospital still hadn't received any correspondence from our 'Insurance Company' so they said we could stay the night free of charge.
