Path 4

Cameron Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia
We woke up in a very dark room all snug under our fleece blanket and quilt even though it was 9:30am! We had breakfast and then got ready to tackle a walking trail. We decided on 'Path 4' as it wasn't strenuous and we weren't exactly prepared for full on hiking. We firstly had to walk through the main street to reach the start of the trail. There was once a brick path but it was now well over-grown but we assumed we were on the right trail. It led through lush green woodland until we reached Parit Waterfall. This wasn't exactly picturesque as the water was brown! However, we continued over the suspension bridge into thicker woodland and had to climb over fallen trees and thick roots growing over the path. We came to a watchtower but it was closed, so we continued walking until we reached another bridge. This led to a side road which brought us to the picnic area that we had passed on the way to Parit Waterfall. We managed to complete the walk in no time at all and without getting lost in the woodland!
We walked back to our room and organised some transport to Penang whilst sitting in the tranquil garden . We went to eat at the same restaurant as last night as it was so nice. We both got a 'Tandoori Chicken Set' and I had a fresh strawberry lassi, whilst Andrew had a mango lassi but his tasted like a plant! One day he won't be jealous of my food and drink choice!
