Welcome to KL!

Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia
We had an early start, waking up at 7am to get a nice shower ready for a day of traveling. However, it was just our luck that the shower barely let out a trickle of water, so we could have had an extra half an hour in bed! Anyway, we packed the rest of our backpack and walked to get a bright pink taxi to the jetty. We boarded a ferry straight away and only had to wait around ten minutes before we set off. Andrew had another close encounter on the ferry as he suddenly needed the toilet, but there wasn't one on board so had to sweat a little until we reached the mainland. It was luckily only a thirty minute journey! We went to buy a bus ticket to Kuala Lumpur and then returned to a kedai kopi that we had spotted on the way. We got three fresh doughnuts and a coffee each for 60p! We boarded our bus which was decent for a change, as it only had three seats per row so they were on the large side and were reclining. I was so tired I thought I would drop off to sleep immediately, but unfortunately the quality of the road prevented any such thing from happening, as it was bump after bump after bump. We stopped for a toilet break and managed to buy a few snacks, but the Pepsi we bought was flat which is often the case in Malaysia much to our annoyance!
We soon reached Kuala Lumpur and got dropped off at the newly renovated Puduraya Bus Station. It was very modern and looked more like an airport terminal lounge with the seating and flat screen TV departure and arrival information on scroll. We walked out into Chinatown but there was a barrier blocking our route, which Andrew made me climb over even though it was next to a busy road and a security officer was present. It was a short walk to Transit Point B&B but the owner was somebody different to who we met on our last visit. It was quite difficult to explain that we had booked a room as our English wasn't understood very well, but we eventually understood each other and were given a twin room until a double room became available the following day. The twin room was in fact bigger than the double room anyway! We had a walk to McDonald's to take advantage of the Big Mac before chilling out in our room for the rest of the night.
