A day of nothing...

Senggigi, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Indonesia
We woke up quite early as the sun shone through our window and lit up the room. We went downstairs for breakfast where the offer was a banana pancake or egg on toast. I predictably chose the pancake as Andrew had the egg on toast. I felt a little nauseous as it was placed in front of me but I managed to eat it anyway. The Lombok coffee was fairly nice and full of sugar. We spent another day chilling out in our room but managed to sort out a way to leave Lombok. We couldn't believe just how difficult it was to arrange transport off the island but in the end we booked the slow boat which included a shuttle bus to Sanur on Bali. It saved us 400,000 rupiah in the end although the ferry itself took around five hours to reach Bali. I sorted out my backpack and threw away some things that were falling apart or otherwise unnecessary. Andrew followed my lead and said goodbye to his rather tight vests and his crocs, which I thought was a silly mistake to throw away. We went downstairs to order food and then I spent some time pampering myself. It turned dark so we went to sit on the rooftop to eat and ended up watching the end of a film called Black Swan. A couple we had seen on Gili Air turned up so we got talking about traveling around South East Asia. We ordered an Anker whilst we all sat round watching Salt. There was a power cut right in the middle of the film but the owner started up a generator. We said goodnight and went off to bed ready and raring to leave Lombok early the following day.
