We hate doxycycline!

Sanur, Bali, Indonesia
I woke up early at 8:20am but I couldn't get back to sleep as I had a bouncing headache and I felt a little nauseous. Andrew went to order breakfast and I managed to eat a bit even though I had no appetite. However, Andrew also didn't feel great so we remained in our room for a while. I got sucked into reading 'Sarah's Key' which I had bought on Gili Air, whilst Andrew read a suggested New Zealand itinerary. We then felt well enough to brave the outside world so we walked to 'Cinnamon' so that we could use WiFi. Andrew booked us a flight from New Zealand to Kuala Lumpur but the secure connection became lost so we didn't manage to book our next flight to Cambodia. I continued to feel dizzy and a little faint so I ordered a piece of carrot cake! It was so dry much to my annoyance and a pink and purple sauce covered the plate which tasted less than appetising. I researched the side-effects of doxycycline anti-malarial tablets online and they matched our symptoms perfectly, so we came to accept that we were going to feel sick for a while. We walked to our favourite place to eat, Little Bird Warung, and ate another tasty meal. Andrew even made the strong statement that the food at Little Bird was the best we had eaten on our entire trip. We went in search of a pharmacy but there was no sign of it on the street it had been shown to be on the map, so we returned to our room. We had already spent our full daily budget so we made a trip to 'Circle K' to buy a yummy pot noodle and a bar of Cadbury's chocolate. I finished reading my book over the course of the night before watching 'The Good Shepherd' but it took too much concentrating so I left Andrew to watch it whilst I read the Vietnam Rough Guide. I fell asleep but woke up to a loud bang which startled me. I thought something had landed on the roof but I could then hear movement on the stairway. I was freaked out as our room had open slats at the top so I was expecting a monkey or a rat to pop over into our room at any minute. Andrew had a quick look behind the curtain but it was too dark to see anything even though he reassured me it was nothing!
