It's just like a hotel...

Sanur, Bali, Indonesia
We woke up and ordered our final breakfast at 'Coco Homestay'. We were all packed and ready to go as the owner walked past our room as she placed an offering on the floor in front of a shrine. We went to pay our bill and I felt a little guilty when the owner asked where we were going next and whether we needed any transport. I lied and said we were moving closer to the airport ready for our flight but she replied that there weren't any homestays near the airport! I just said we had a place sorted and thanked her for our stay. We made the short walk to 'Little Pond Homestay' at the end of the street, ignoring the beep after beep that came from every passing taxi driver. We arrived a little early as check in wasn't until 12:00pm but the cleaner was just sweeping our room floor so we just sat on our veranda. The room exceeded our expectation, as although it was 200,000 rupiah a night it looked like a hotel room. The bed was of a decent size and was covered in white linen. There was a dressing table and bed side lamp along with a piece of art adorning the wall above the bed. The window was floor to ceiling so the room was nice and bright and so we immediately lay on the bed. I went to ask for the WiFi code and then we spent most of the day planning our New Zealand trip. We went to 'Little Bird' warung where we both ordered a soup and then went on to 'Circle K' for an ice cream. We returned to our room and continued with the task of planning. We headed to 'The Ducks Nutz' for something to eat and we were both tempted by the home-made pie, mashed potato and gravy. Andrew thought it might have been a bit of a gamble but we ordered it anyway. However, the gamble didn't pay off as the pie looked as though it had been made by a factory and the mash tasted disgusting along with the sweet gravy. It was a good thing we had a Bintang to wash the taste away! We called off at 'Circle K' for another Bintang and a bar of Cadbury's chocolate before we walked back to our cozy room.
