I woke up with a banging headache and a full on cold. I was so hot that I went straight for a shower to cool off, but my body couldn't take the cold water so I turned the heat right up. Andrew then got ready and we went for a late breakfast. We both ordered a sandwich as the bread was so tasty and it filled us up for the day. We went to sit around the pool alongside a sleeping dog who was stretched out on a sun lounger. We found a shady spot as I thought it would be best if I stayed out of the sun. The whole of the UK turned up, or so it seemed, as everyone around the pool was British. The fact that a member of staff was sent to the pier to meet the incoming boat was paying off as they were certainly getting a decent bit of custom considering how few people were on the island. A camera was being passed around the group so we had a look at what was the talk of the pool. It was a spider that had been caught on camera in a bungalow. It was fairly big but it was the camouflage that was most scary as it was pale in colour and quite unrecognisable. Andrew had just returned from our bungalow and as he was walking along the path a small green snake was climbing up a tree, so he shared the sighting with everyone. It then came to light that a rather large snake had made a home for itself in the outside toilet. I started to feel worse and worse and the heat didn't help so we returned to our room so that I could lie on the bed under the fan. We started to watch 'Uncle Buck' but half way through we decided to go and get something to eat. We ate as we watched a storm shower pass over Ko Tao in the distance and head towards Ko Phangan but it only drizzled over us. We returned to our bungalow and watched the remainder of 'Uncle Buck' before watching 'The Bourne Ultimatum' film. I had a few really sugary hot Milo drinks whilst I blew my nose every minute or so and made a pile of tissue on the floor. As much as Andrew didn't like Milo he kept taking my cup and thoroughly enjoyed the chocolaty malt drink! I really wanted to go to sleep but I was too hot and uncomfortable so I had a cool shower. It seemed to work as I then needed to get under the sheet!
