A nice Italian...

Ko Phangan, Thailand
We woke up at our now usual time of 10:30am and got ready before venturing out on our moped to find a place to eat. A place called 'The Village Green' was recommended online but it was closed so we just decided to go to the same place as we had went to the previous night. There was a bit of confusion as Andrew ordered two chicken baguettes, one with bacon, and it took a rather long time for our food to be served. The chicken had been battered to death and then something must have been added to it to form a sort of pattie, as we couldn't really taste any chicken! The confusion then continued when Andrew went to pay our bill as we were charged for two chicken burgers which wasn't what we ordered and was almost double the price. Anyway, Andrew managed to explain the situation so that we were charged the correct price. We returned to our bungalow and I sunbathed whilst Andrew chilled out in the hammock. It was another clear day and so I got a little burnt without realising it. We went to our restaurant for a cold drink and to use the internet before returning to the pool side where we got talking to the English couple we had met a day ago. They recommended a restaurant in Haad Salad so we decided to check it out. It was called 'Jay Jay Restaurant'. It was rather inconspicuous from the road side but it had big wicker chairs and cushions and was nicely kitted out. It was an Italian restaurant so we both decided to get a pasta dish. It was so nice and we were both stuffed after we had finished eating. We quickly returned to our bungalow so that we could watch the sunset. It was clear that we had eaten too early in the day and had drank too much Chang as we started to feel hungry again, so we went to our restaurant and both ordered a pancake and another Chang! Andrew then went for his usual late night swim before bed.
