Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand
We woke up at the early time of 8:30am without the help of an alarm! We were expecting a lot of snow to have fallen overnight but the snow had just about melted and it was much warmer than the previous day. We got ready at a slow pace and ate breakfast before setting off for Christchurch. The journey was pretty boring as SH1 was straight and the landscape was completely flat. However, we did pass a shockingly blue river and we drove over the longest bridge in New Zealand. There was very little traffic on the road so it took us no time at all to reach Christchurch where we found 'Amber Park' campsite. We paid for one night and then made a trip to 'Pak' n Save' to buy food on a very tight budget. We spent the rest of the evening drinking beer in the warmth of our campervan.
