Made it to the Borgo

Brindisi, Puglia, Italy
It has been an adventure just getting here, and I have loved it, but now I know why my parents have been singing to me about coming here for the past few months. Italy is Amazing!

As we arrived at the hotel we were met at the front by a friendly man that was expecting a baby of his own . I think he will make a fine Dad, since he didn't make me cry at all. After that we were met by Avalina who showed us around the hotel. This place is more similar to a small city, than a hotel. The building looks like they could have been here for a hundred years, but everything was only built 7 years ago. In the center of the lobby is the "albero della vita" (Tree of Life), it is a tree that has the trunk of an olive tree, and the branches are filled with pieces of paper that have stories and poems written on them that they wanted to represent the heart of the hotel. It was beautiful like everything else here; Dad won't stop taking pictures.

After getting to our villa, and changing we went straight down to the beach and had lunch. The restaurant at the beach had a really cool seafood bar where you go and pick out the fish you would like and they cook it up for you however you want it done. Mom had the grilled octopus, Nonna and Dad had the Pasta with clams, and Babbo had a Tono Salad. They even made me some mashed up banana and avocado.

After lunch we took a nap on the beach, before walking back to the hotel to get cleaned up for dinner.

Dinner was great too, but I was getting a little tired so Mom and I went for a passeggiata while everyone else ate. When we got back to the table I had a bottle of milk, and then passed out (Dad couldn't resist taking an unflattering picture of me). Tomorrow is sure to be another fun filled day so I am off to sleep. Buonanotte!

Your hotel looks beautiful, and all of you look ready to settle in.
