Ciao Europe!

Los Angeles, California, United States
This morning started fast; I woke up at 6:30, got dressed, packed up, had a bottle, and was in front of the hotel by 7:05 to meet the driver (okay I was 5 minutes late, you can't rush a nice bottle of formula). The driver that picked us was named Akbar, and after Nonna's brief panic attack, we realized he was a very nice man. He knew of separate entrance into the Heathrow airport for first class passengers on Virgin. It was awesome, we were met at the car by a nice woman who greeted us while a gentleman carried our bags in for us. No more than 5 Minutes later we had our boarding passes and were headed through the first class security check. 5 minutes after that we were through security... Guess we didn't need to get to the airport 2 hours before our flight.\\

With plenty of time before our flight we were able to take full advantage of the Virgin first class lounge . this place was so cool! They had these fun swinging chairs, they had endless yogurt (I had 4), and they had waiters that bring you whatever you want (Dad had 2 kinds of eggs Benedict). They even had a playroom for kids. with all these amenities, the 2 hours flew by and it was time to head to the gate.

The gate wasn't too far by Heathrow standards, but it was still about a 10 min walk from the lounge. We walked as fast as we could, since we didn't leave when the initial announcement that the fight was boarding was made, and were now a little behind schedule. We arrived at the gate in time and boarded the plane.

Safely on the plane we all settled in for the long flight home. The flight went smoothly, I even got to meet the pilot. He was a very nice man; He gave me his yogurt since the plane wasn't carrying any. Also on our flight was Andrew McMahon, he went to high school with Dad, so he introduced us . Andrew was in London touring with his band, he played in Manchester the night after the terror attach.

We had good winds and were ahead of schedule the whole way. We ended up landing about an hour early. Turns out it was too early, since our gate wasn't available yet. We had to wait on the tarmack for an hour before the plane was finally at the gate and we could get off.

Uncle Steve was nice enough to drive to LAX to get us, and take us home. The drive was a little longer than normal due to the traffic, but we made it home, and we are so glad to be here.

This trip was my first big adventure, and it set the bar pretty high for all future vacations. That being said, what made this trip so great was the people I got to share it with. I'm sure with this group we could have an amazing time anywhere.

Nonna and Babbo, thank you so much for bringing us along with you. It was the trip of a lifetime (and I'm only 10 months old). And thank you for always being there to entertain me when Mom and Dad got too tired. I hope we didn't tire you out too much.

Nonna, thanks also for always making me my food on the trip. and Babbo, thanks for letting me sleep on you all over Europe.

Mom and Dad- Thanks for being daring enough to take me on this trip. Let's do it again sometime. Maybe when I reach an age that I can remember some of it.

Well, that's it for Europe 2017. Until the next adventure!
