We had all three meals in the Bordeaux dining room today. I did some laundry in the morning with only one other machine in use while I was there. The machines work on tokens which are available from a machine in the laundry room using the medallion. $3 each for wash and dry. I brought 20 detergent sheets and separate dryer sheets from home. I think that should be enough for the trip.
I had another nap in the afternoon. The ocean is gray, yet active. However, I didn’t feel it too much. Some occasional rolling that looked much worse than it felt.
Tonight’s show was so funny with comedy hypnotist David Knight. I definitely need to go back if he performs again. He had 16 chairs on stage for volunteers. At his first invitation, 14 people went up right away. He invited/encouraged more to come up on a second invitation, and three more people headed that way. One person turned around when he saw he was going to be one more than called, but Knight said to come on, and he called for another chair. After a couple of preliminary rounds of making suggestions to the volunteers, he eliminated four people who he didn’t think would be hypnotized ending up with 13.
Before asking for volunteers, he said it would be a clean show for all ages. No secrets revealed. No taking clothes off. Ended up being PG-13 in my opinion. I saw only one child in the audience who was about two years old. The first of the tasks he gave the volunteers to do was to play piano. “You are the best piano player performing on '[Your country]’s Got Talent'.” They looked so happy and proud to play and perform. He also had the volunteers ride race horses, except for one man who had to ride a donkey. They surfed and danced and rubbed suntan lotion on themselves and on a seat mate, in one case. He had them take care of the people by them, and then woke them up while they were still hugging the other volunteers/strangers wondering why they had their arms around people that they didn’t know. The hypnotist gave some of the volunteers suggestions of things to do after leaving the stage. One man lost and couldn’t find his bottom. He kept asking the hypnotist where his bum was. Another man tried to get people to get in the life boats because “the Martians are coming.” He yelled it out in the theater which upset the two women who were made to think that they’re in a library and responsible for getting everyone to be quiet. Another woman thought the cruise director was naked and whispered to the hypnotist, pointing and laughing. Two women were told to roar like dragons then laugh because each one thought the person next to them roared. Just so funny and most looked real to me.
We watched the Cowboys vs. LA Rams game on our stateroom television. It was the second afternoon game so it kicked off at 10:20 pm ship’s time. We had a pretty good satellite reception. A couple of times we lost the signal, but mostly worked fine. Final score: Cowboys 22 — Rams 10.
