We had a time change gaining an hour during the night.  We’ll have several more as we cross the Atlantic, including tonight.

After breakfast, I found an empty washer and did one load of things that I don’t want to send out to the commercial laundry on board.  I have been sending out most of our laundry since we have lots of non-refundable onboard credit and not much to spend it on. 

Once the laundry was finished, Philip and I walked off the ship to look around a little bit.  We did not find a shore excursion with the right combination of sights that we thought we’d enjoy, so we decided to do this one on our own.  I guess we were lucky to be able to dock here as bad weather, primarily fog, often prevents ships from being able to dock during this time of year.  There was fog this morning and rain off and on during the day.  I was able to enjoy sitting on the balcony to read this afternoon.  We called both Erin and Shaun today to check in.  Erin said she’d check on our house and drive Philip’s car around the block.  It’s been sitting a long time.  

The USS McFaul, a U.S. Navy destroyer, is docked alongside the Sky Princess.  It looks small and in need of a paint job.  There are a number of sailors standing on its decks and visiting the red and white lighthouse at the end of the dock.  

A comedy duo performed after dinner tonight.  Alfred and Seymour were introduced as past winners of Princess cruise line’s Entertainers of the Year.  They were happy and energetic and lots of fun.  They’ll perform another time next week, too.
