So, today... Woke up around 9, wander down to the main house... The boys are up and coffee is brewed, and.. Peter makes incredible omelettes, potatoes, fruit.. and.. Butter my biscuit, sweet Jesus, Smokey & the Bandit is on. Good times. We took revelry in watching Smokey and Sally Fields painfully flirting in the Bandit's smokin' hot, always-impeccably-polished & waxed Trans Am whist speeding along at 90 mph, ignoring the road ahead as he stared in to her eyes... while outfoxing Smokey and his idiot son. Yes.
After that, I took a ride with Peter down to the hotel where he works, got a tour, and of course ended up on a adorondock chair by the pool
.. On the 'infinity' side by the ocean. Natch. I sunbathed for a couple of hours and then was wandering around a bit when I ran back in to Dave, Brandon, and Peter at the bar, where we were all sort of being introduced to Peter's amigo, Matt. ... Long story longer? ... Short story ended? ..Crazy... Brandon, Dave, and I said, "SURE!" when Matt asked us if we wanted to take a ride on the mule (the mule being an ATV) to check out a pond, and then another pond... So, we rallied, Brandon and I sat in the "back seat" (loosely interpreted) - with our knees stuffed into our faces- and off we went. Four-by'in' in back desert roads through random terrain, watery oases, and inevitably.. I mean, it was killer. End of story. We totally had a random adventure adventure and were laughing about how totally random it all wasl. What? Yesterday I was... and now I'm... Whoa. What the hell??
And.. Of course.. I forgot my camera, but I took the PERFECT shot of a huge rock leaving Dave's hand and launching through the front of an abandoned computer monitor... With Dave's camera- timing. Big time timing. Really, it was the most amazing shot. I'm uploading some pix for him now and I will steal it...And believe it or not, it was a "nature moment"- in a really random Mexican desert rock-monitor-bowling-from-an-ATV-kind of way.. How many times have YOU wanted to launch a rock through your monitor? (..CHECK. One less thing I must take care of while on Earth.)
OK. More later. We are having late dinner and now that I've brought it up, we're rehashing the bowling adventue so I better find that photo! CRAZY DAY. Oh, and Nate showed up, and CT, and now we're at the hostel.. Peter: "Why does my place look like a hostel?" Dave: "Why do you care?"
And so.. for now.. gotsta finish these pix for Dave and catch up on the next bad flick.
Buenos noches!
What a day....
