Walked up Lombard to "the crookedest street". Steep! I took 220 steps to do the Polk St to Larkin St block. Then had to go down the other side as it was more hills to head along Hyde St towards Union Square.

So down Lombard to Leavenworth (where you can get the good pictures); and down some more until Powell St . Then it was a reasonably easy walk to Union Square - a lot of downhill at the end though. Took an hour 50 mins to get there. Interesting walk.

Cued for an hour to get the Powell-Hyde cable car from it's start/turnaround in Market St back to Fisherman's wharf. The ticket was $6 each. A Muni Passport for a day would have been $17 - with no surcharge at this ticket office. Waltgrens was going to charge an extra $3 for a 'rechargeable' ticket.

A couple of drinks at Castagnola's (well it was happy hour!). Then, because there was a hint of sunshine, a harbour cruise. I had the seat side back and was reasonably well rugged up - so loved it! Much better than the big boat - this one, I got spray in the face and we all talked to each other. It took just on an hour.

I tried lobster bisque from one of the stalls but I didn't like it. Then a wander through Musee Mecanique -
"Welcome to the Musée Mécanique, one of the world's largest (over 200) privately owned collection of coin-operated mechanical musical instruments and antique arcade
machines in their original working condition. (You can play them!)
Located on Pier 45 at the foot of Taylor Streetin San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf.
