Day 2 & 3 - Quebec City BW

Quebec City, Quebec, Canada
Arrived at the hotel after a lovely drive up the St Lawrence river.
Churches are very prominent all the way up the South bank.

Staying at the BW in the lower town, nearly a bit of a panic as they did not have our reservation. This was found eventually for the next day, luckily they had rooms free so they changed the booking.
Dinner was at a restaurant just across the road. The menu at first looked a little strange and the waiter when to great lengths to explain the menu which we found odd. I had steak which was the best steak I think I have ever had shame I can not remember the restaurant name or find on the map.

Up early walked into the old town to find breakfast. Sat outside Chateaux Frontenac in the early morning sunshine and let the world pass by. The sun is shining all is good

Quebec old city is lovely to wander around particularly early in the morning streets empty even after our leisurely breakfast the streets were still empty. Walked along the boardwalk in front of the Chateaux to the fort and past the cannons discussing the strategy of General Wolfs campaign and how they possibly rowed up the river.
At the Fort we watched the changing of the guard, Artillery Park was getting ready for Paul McCartney.
Dinner Tom booked a river cruise up the St Laurence at sunset, beautiful and very romantic. We have started well.
