Mexico at last

Santa Ana, Sonora, Mexico
After a disturbed night with singing cicadas in our room, noisy air con and trains going by we had a good breakfast at the spaceship motel and headed off to find Lindsay had another flat
pumped it up at the nearest gas station and headed for the border with fingers crossed.

Nogalis is a split town, the crossing through the border was fairly straightforward, we got our tourist visa at the border in the town, and was directed 20kilometers down the road to get our temporary vehicle import permit. You have to leave a deposit of 400 dollars which you get back when you leave. We were lucky no queues so after being sent back for photocopies we got our permit. It took about 45 minutes but I think we were lucky.

Having crossed our first border we headed into Mexico and headed south down the 15 which seems to be the main road down the coast.
Found good motel which had been recommended in Santa Anne and crashed early after dinner

BIKE STUFF
Will try and fit extension to rear rack to secure yellow bag with camping gear better as it keeps slipping forward
