Lesson learnt - when you have stuff to do do the essential things first not the stuff you want to do

After the balls up of yesterday got onto the insurance and got it sorted by 10 am. For a cool 286 dollars.

After much discussions and web searches we finally agreed to head east and drop into Mexico at Nogalas rather than travel down Baja, the situation after hurricane Odile meant many roads were still impassable and ferries were uncertain.

During packing and generally phaffing about notice Lindsay's new rear tyre was flat, after blowing it up we headed back to the bike shop ( his third visit in 3 days ) and got it fixed ( hopefully).

Left San Diego about 12:00 and got onto the 8 heading east though the desert we had crossed five days earlier.
Arrived as the sun went down,

Hotel looked like something out of the Jetsons, found out later that the owner had something to do with NASA.

Being in the desert big bugs everywhere including our room, after removing big bugs from room had a meal ready to leave US and enter Mexico tomorrow

Facts
Days since start, 88 days
Mileage on bike 69983
Mileage covered in US and Canada 16033

New Kreiga bags worked well, finally think we have right arrangements for packing bike.
Hopefully this will mean Tom stops nagging!!!!
