Club Med, I don't think so. - San Carlos

San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico
Awoke to the sound of Lindsay's air pump, still problems with leaking back tyre.

Coffee in the local cafe and away down the 15.

This part of Mexico is not what we expected, very green with hills and small mountains and dead volcanoes, haven't seen a guy in a sombrero asleep by a cactus yet.

The 15 becomes a bit monotonous and was glad to hit the coast and headed for San Carlos, after the usual buggering around trying to find a hotel Lindsay headed for a beach bar (The Soggy Peso) for a beer and we sat in our gear on this fantastic beach while we tried to cool down.

After more faffing we eventually returned to the first hotel we tried and booked into the Hotel Paradiso.
First impressions were better than reality, this was a very run down beach resort of the seventies and had had no maintenance done since. Plus the wifi was down.

One big benefit was we were able to walk along the beach to the Sloppy Peso and have a beer and a swim as the sun went down. Later a really nice meal next door at the Baralochie sitting on the sand, perfect temperature. Great night.

Note to self - when dining out doors always where bug spray. didn't realise was being eaten
