Creel, further than you think

Creel, Northern Mexico, Mexico
Up early from a night wondering if I had been eaten by bed bugs, should have got into the bag liner like Tracy. Skipped cold shower and had a cowboy wash. Everything seems OK.

Usual wake up call of Lindsays pump but this time he thinks he has found ongoing leak on back wheel, a loose spoke, we will see tomorrow.

Packed and on the road just after 8, for breakfast in local Restaurant. Road side cafe really Mexican style breakfast, Beans with everything.

Distance between Yecora and Creel is 186 miles, estimated time on gps is 6.5 hours. The road follows the mountain passes and is slow going, as with yesterday dodging potholes donkeys, vultures eating road kill and occasional luxury coach going far too fast usually on the wrong side of the road

Despite our best efforts and a couple of detours we missed the cascades on route. Mid afternoon started to rain and the final couple of hours into Creel were a challenge with flooded roads and thunder and lighting.
Completely soaked we were in no mood to look around for hotels and headed straight for the BW where we have a great room with gas fire to dry all our stuff.
Fantastic days ride. Bike running well and taking all we can throw at it. Tracy the same and with always with a smile.

Big debate over dinner if road 23 actually exists and how we get to Mazalan. Some maps have this road some don't. Dave caught up with us and joined us for dinner, he had found the cascades
