Fantastic ride from Creel to Parral, road pretty good condition and great scenery, best ride in Mexico so far.  

Met a guy on the road who was surveying the pot holes for repairs really friendly  

Found motel on outskirts of Parral and pulled in for the night

Experienced the first warning from a local (dickhead) that the next part of our journey was dangerous because of Mafia and we should get a police escort. We are in the heart of the drug smuggling area and well armed police and army are around and visible carrying big guns and driving big pickups. This put the dampeners on the evening and we all went to bed wondering if we would be robbed and or gang raped tomorrow.

BIKE STUFF
Found pannier had been leaking and first aid bag and contents soaking also tank bag, the water had turned the sweets we had into a sticky mess. Loverly.
Everything unpacked and left to dry overnight.
