San Juan Teotihuacán, State of Mexico, Mexico
We leave San Miguel in the sunshine and make our way toward San Juan Teotihuacán north east of Mexico city. Home to some of the largest ancient pyramids in the world. According to legend, it was here where the gods gathered to plan the creation of man.

Lindsay's bike picks up a puncture, which gives us all an interesting wait on the hard shoulder.

Despite our best efforts we cannot get the repair plug to seal fullyand decide to get the bike off the busy highway to a safer place to fix the puncture Fortunately highway assistance truck stopped to direct the trucks away from us and direct us to where we can get the tyre fixed.

As with most junctions and towns there are many "vulcanizadoras" to fix the many punctures the cars and trucks have due mainly to running on bald tyres. We spotted one of these just off the junction and after we roomed the back wheel he had the tyre off the wheel in seconds and the puncture repaired using just tyre irons, it was very impressive to watch, Lindsay gave him a good tip.

We arrive late afternoon need to find a hotel, the town does not give the impression of being a tourist centre the main street was crowded and chaotic. We get some prices from Hotel Quinto Sol which were high so wondered about the motel behind, thinking it was part of the same complex.
The receptionist shrugged and gave us the prices 75% cheaper. Having covered few miles in Mexico we had noticed at the edge of most towns are Auto motels. Quickly realised the intended use of this establishment as we were being shown round. We would have had our own garage!!! Jacuzzi was extra..... I checked into the first hotel regardless of the price.
