Copan Ruinas, Copan, Honduras
You read a lot of bad stuff about crossing this border but apart from the time it takes it was ok, no hassles, no rip offs and no bribes necessary. Everyone was helpful and friendly. It took 3 hours but we got through.

Last night was a rough night....... Clean hotel it may have been buses started about 4.30am hooting and honking to get their passengers. The stop must be right under our window the buses sit revving their engines adding to the noise. Clouds of fumes fill the air and our bathroom Carbon monoxide poisoning was definitely on the cards here..... Thank goodness the ride is not far today.

Arrive Copan Ruinas Marion had researched a few hotels to find so we made for the centre. This is not a big place. Whilst deciding what to do a Tuk tuk drive asked in perfect English if we needed help. We were a bit hesitant at first but he was persistent. We asked about the hotels he told us Clarion was way out of town and expensive he knows new a better one. Marion and I jumped in his tuk tuk this is getting familiar at the end if the day. As we set of I though I have no idea where we are going and no money! He took us about 200 yards round the corner to a small place. Inside the courtyard was a small boutique hotel 6 rooms upstairs all with aircon sitting room and a balcony lovely. Marvin went back for Tom and Lindsay who had pulled a couple of chicks. We bump into them later when trying to find a restaurant.
