I have never seen so much rain started at 6 last night and absolutely hammered down until 6 this morning. At 8:30 We had breakfast outside in the sunshine watching the surfers and I wished we were staying another day.
As we were packing up it was 32 degrees the sun was shining and it was raining.

It is a wonderful place but one of the downsides is everything is damp and doesn't dry, my riding gear stinks and when I put my boots on they make my eyes water. Must get to a laundrette that we can wash and dry the gear.

Headed out towards the Volcano Arenal dodging rain. Bits of countryside look like England except have much bigger cattle in the fields.

Briefly see the volcano Arenal as we rode in and after a couple of try's find a really nice hotel and am enjoying a G&T before the afternoon deluge arrives.
Hotel has their own hot springs amongst beautiful gardens. If only we saw it in the sunshine.

Rear bearing seal has started leaking, wish I'd insisted and had it replaced in SanFrancisco, will check it out tomorrow
