We needed a plan we could not bring ourselves to stay at the Marriott as amazing as it was the price still makes me shudder did we really stay there.  

 We head for Panama City the concierge Daniel had recommended Hotel Bristol and had managed to secure us a good deal. This time the road is highway and we make good time. The weather holds just about a few splashes from time to time we skirt round the rest. Over the Panama Canal we have arrived in Panama City. First impressions were not great this is a city which is trying hard to evolve, there is building and mess everywhere. Even our hotel looks like an oasis in the middle of a scrap yard. We check in but are hesitant as we are not sure with everything else going on if booking in here is right. We could have got something cheaper but we need a good base particularly if we are to sort out how to get out of Panama. The staff at the Bristol could not have made us more welcome the reception staff went out of their way to help us feel settled. We had welcome cocktails which led to a few more always a bit messy.
