Still more monkeys than people - just

Quepos, Puntarenas, Costa Rica
One more day in jungle beach paradise.
All went zipping in the morning

In the afternoon we walked into the national park. Central America have a strange system of dealing with ticket purchases they can never be got at the gate you have to get them from a bank and then they are checked at the gate. Beaurocracy gone mad it applies everywhere.

Once in we walk along the jungle edged path quickly spot tiny little deer, then some monkeys in the trees. The trail takes us through the mangrove swamps all around is the chirping of insects then up and over the cliffs to a couple of beach coves, jungle right down to the waters edge apart from the half moon of white sand beach. Hundreds of hermit crabs are making their way up the sand and a family of raccoons scavenge round the drift wood looking for scraps. We make our way through the jungle rain forest listening and watching as we go. It was a bit like Jurassic Park we expected raptors to jump out on us at any time we realise we have been watching too many movies. This was absolutely idyllic Costa Rica is most certainly on the list to return to hopefully one day.
