Which border??? Leaving Ecuador

Cantón Huaquillas, Ecuador
Big discussion over breakfast with small difference of opinion about todays route, some of us (me) wanted to go due south via Vilcabamba to La Balsa a remote border crossing from here you can get to Chachapoyas but this is unpaved road and based on our experience yesterday the consensus was this would be dangerous as the weather was not good with rain clouds everywhere so we head west.

Travelling in a group requires some compromise, so I just sulked!

Heading west got us back into sunshine and some nice roads interspersed with gravel and dirt roads so it was still interesting riding

Arrived Cantón Huaquillas late afternoon, typical boarder town of S America (bit of a shit hole ) not somewhere you want to spend more than one night.

Found hotel which was clean, there was some discussion over the Cervesas as to what other roles this hotel played, as there was a few "ladies" always present in reception. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and concluded they were just meeting friends.

Our room looked out over the main road and just to increase our chances of getting no sleep due to horns blaring and music thumping there was a circus just across the road.
Ear plugs in tonight i think.

Did some work on the bike to keep it together after all the rough roads and prior to entering Peru.
