It's a sleeping bag night

Olmos, Lambayeque, Peru
A disturbed night some girls partying until 4 am but we made our planned departure at just after 9 am. We had a long ride and no hotel booked as there appeared to be nothing much available so decided to get going.

Road south east to Olmos which is a halfway stop to tomorrow's destination.

For only the second time on trip our we met some fellow motorcycle travellers, a Spanish couple travelling on a KTM adventurer like Lindsay's. They had travelled through europe east, the opposite direction to us, they were also proper adventure bikers as they were camping most nights. . Lindsay compared modifications and I admired the mods he had done on his panniers to strengthen them, he had a plate welded to the side, this cost him a few dollars in Indonisia. Its now on my to-do list.

Travelled through desert for most of the day and 220 miles later arrived at about 3:45 in Olmos.

The only hotel in town looked ok from the outside but wasn't so clean on inside but we had no choice so in we went and paid our 60 sols (£13:50). We will sleep in the bag liners tonight.

After a beer things seemed better in this dusty windy town which is like a modern day western.

Not sure what the bowls were for on the table think you were meant to spit your beer or something odd. They thought we were odd any way so we did not stay.

Found another place for dinner our staple diet lately chicken and chips.
On way back from bar spot hairdressers and had buzz cut for 5 sols (1:90) plus 5 sols tip.

Cheapest room and not the worst, cheapest cut and not the worst, life is good.
