Cusco, Apurímac, Peru
Breakfast served by the same waiter consisted of rolls and jam eggs were extra. Tom has to have his eggs.

Went down to pack the bike to find out water bottle had been stolen. It looked like the thief had cut through the cargo net and removed the bottle, it would have been quicker to just in unclip it, in their haste the had also cut through the camp bag. after we had got over the feeling of violation, we became more philosophical and used it as a reminder to keep a better eye on security. We started the trip making sure everything was locked this probably had not been the case recently.

Weather glorious sunny and warm hopefully we were going to get a lovely ride into Cusco.
We. Climb round the winding road out of Cusco back into the mountains road not as good a previous day's considering it was a main road it was also quiet apart from slow trucks struggling with the ascent. Fruit is being sold in vast amounts on road side stalls including mangos. Oranges banana and a mango purchased we set of to find a spot by the river. The plan did not quite work as we came across a huge line of trucks people out of their cars, as normal we hopped round the side to try and get to the front. It turned out to be road works looks like they are repairing flood damage, it appeared the road had be closed for a while. Fortunately we did not have to wait as the traffic started filing through but all along the river was a dust bowl. We passed the pink caravan of the swedes we met in Nazca and continued up. We stop for a picnic by a small farm with a amazing view down the valley.

 Mango all round.

The run in to Cuzco was bumpy as we are finding the first impressions of a town from the outskirts are not the greatest Cusco was no exception. To think this road was the major connection North to South its condition was appalling. Fortunately we have a lovely hotel to go to unfortunately the parking availability was as bad as the road.

Neither Tom or Lindsay happy with where they had to leave the bike. The conseige was brilliant understood the issue and agreed the bikes could be parked right out the front. 24/7 guard.
