Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, Peru
Early start hand luggage packed off to get the train. Taxi drops us off and arranges to pick,us up in a few days.

All very well organised we board the train, journey starts down the valley. The train goes at a steady pace which was great for photos plenty of time to see what was coming up.

We had thought about riding as far as we could and then leaving the bikes walking the rest but this was far mor civilised. A snack was served with drinks which helped to break the 3 hour journey, the scenery did the rest.

Started with farm land through small communities which the train delivers to as we when along. Gradually the valley got narrower we were running along the very edge of the river, fishermen were throwing their nets to get the days catch, possible our dinner. Always everything was so green and tropical mix of big ferns and palms.

We arrive at the hotel drop our bags, and get a bus which takes us to the entrance of the City. Yes amazing we get Tom on 2 forms of public transport in one day may be the sign of things to come!.

That first glimpse is a amazing as every I hoped it could be, it is one of those spine tingling moments this is a very special place.

the cloud is very low clinging to the surrounding hills so the views are often obscured but this does not deter us from walking to the Inca bridge along part of the Inca trail. This is a narrow trail high along the cliff side giving amazing views down to the river below. Not everyones favourite place
