Puno, Puno, Peru
Left Cuzco and traveled down the 3 to Puno. Beautiful valley road farm communities all along side the road.

lots of building have been covered in graffiti. It is advertising something possibly elections but we could not find what. However they use this rather than bill posting or advertising hoardings looks good.

Started in sun until reached 12500 FT then became darker and colder.

Despite our efforts to escape the rain we got caught a few times then at 12800 FT rain turned to hail and snow. Fortunately only a light covering for about a mile then it cleared up as we entered Juliaca.

Juliaca is real shit hole you arrive alongside a scrap heap which runs for about a mile then the road stops and becomes a bumpy dirt road. Over passes were being built great concrete structures but is not clear why. All in the middle of this is a market of which the gps takes us straight through the middle.

Glad we decided to push on to Puno.

First time used GPS coordinates and it stopped short about quarter of a mile from hotel.

Bike had been standing for six days and was missing and stalling until completely warmed up
