News Years Eve and we are not skiing in Meribel. First time missed in about 15 years.
(Tom forgot about 2009 when he was again in South America)
 
Lindsay and I headed for motorcycle dealers bought octane booster and the very important WD40. Managed to get a strip of aluminum and carried out another repair to my seat, hopefully more permanent than the last one.

Dakar fever has hit South America.

Tracy and Marion to Post Office to send stuff back home.
Post office was an interesting lesson. First you queue to have your parcel wrapped the Americas have to have the items stitched into a woven bag. The lady who kindly did this for Marian sight was so bad that she could not see to thread a bodkin with string, it took a while. My parcel had to go in a box as it was over seas. Problem as I did not have a box eventually a lady took pity on me and took me to where I could get one. Box wrapped Parcel sewn we can pay for postage. I do not have enough cash so had to find a cash machine. Bolivia does not like master card only visa lucky I have a visa credit card as well.
Back with the cash, parcel could be sent, the whole of one side of the box was covered in stamps. A collectors dream.
This chore done we went for a walk to find the flower market, it is rather not very big or somewhere else so we ended back in the witches market. Sun was out good for photos. New years seems to have lots of traditions a demonstration was going on at the government office by the Ayamara people, the market was selling red and yellow underwear which is supposed to bring good luck along with rolls of fake money which are burnt.
 
New Year celebrations started very late 10pm we had booked a traditional meal in the hotel, who had music and drinks in the club on the top floor.

When we got there we were the only people there we got a few drinks flowing, We had funny hats and glasses which created a laugh or two. the food was ok.
At midnight the DJ forgot or was otherwise engaged so we celebrated on our own. Only to get a second go a few minutes later.
