Flipping freezing

Villa Imperial de Potosí, Departamento Autónomo de , Bolivia
Today was the day that I realised I should have ignored the nagging and insistence that I send home any warm clothing I own.
We left Ouror with dark sky's on the search for fuel. To stop border hopping to get cheap gas Bolivia has decided not to supply tourists from all stations, then when you can find it they double the price. 2 hours later and a lot of turning round we are fuelled up and can leave. Getting out of town is a challenge there is building works everywhere roads dug up and piles of rubble left randomly everywhere blocking the roads. All this as well as the normal crazy traffic.

Journey along lake Poopo was fairly fast traffic eased weather held. As the road climbs away from the lake the weather closes in and starts to rain and then sleet/ snow. 14000ft it is freezing.

This would have been a stunning journey if we had sunshine but we had to watch the Llamas and the views through rain covered misty visors. It was so wet and cold my hands and feet hurt I took my sopping gloves off to try and warm up. Over the pass I was shaking so badly not sure how I stayed on the bike. It was surprising that Tom seemed fortunately ok.

At last we arrive at Potosi and the sun comes out typical. Hotel is basic but warm they open the kitchen so we can have hot soup. We gradually start to thaw out.
