This time the glacier for real

El Calafate, Patagonia, Argentina
Bit of a lazy start, but we head out to the glacier.

Very windy as we enter the park I have to hang on tightly as it feels like I am going to be blown off. We ride through quite a barren area first then along a lake the colours of the water are a vivid turquoise.

The glacier is just incredible, difficult to describe in the right words to convey the sheer size, noise and the difference in colour.

It was strange as everyone watched and waited in quiet anticipation of the ice falling. It was like being in church. As the sun heated the ice so the glacier moves slowly popping and cracking.

Tom- one of the most amazing sights i have seen, words and photos don't do it, put this on your bucket list. How lucky are we.
