Battling the wind

Puerto Natales, Patagonia, Chile
The sun is shining but the wind still has not calmed down. We meet up Marian and Lindsay and head out.
Although the surroundings were beautiful the wind was difficult at times the gust so strong I'm not sure how we stayed on. Mix of gravel roads and strong wind keeps us focussed.

A couple of border crossings helped to distract us. No mans land was the only description between the 2 areas. Even the road did not exist just a huge muddy & gravel area which you just picked your best route through.

Tom - managed to retain my bag of mixed nuts through the crossings.

We roll in to Puerto Natales late afternoon. It was grey cold and windy. We cannot see anywhere obvious to stay so find a coffee shop with wifi and try and find one. Thank goodness for trip advisor and booking.com we would not have got this far without them.

Turn up at the hotel, they were not expecting us seemed surprised we had booked. Hotel a bit rough but ok for one night and the bikes could be parked in the garage. Usual steak and chilled red wine perked us up after a tough day.
