Of course it was going to happen sooner or later

Río Gallegos, Santa Cruz, Argentina
Today is a big day.

Early breakfast we bump in to the tour group from last nigh, they are off to Punta Arenas.

We are going to Rio a Galagos which means 2 border crossings, Argentina into Chile then back into Argentina and also a ferry crossing.

Of course not to forget the battle with the wind and most of the time we will be on gravel roads (rippio).

Leaving argentina for the first time about 75 miles since leaving we passed the only fuel station on the whole trip, this proved to be a bit of a mistake.

We arrived at the ferry and met Laronzo waiting in line.

Entering Argentina for the last time i realised how little fuel i had left. I put in the fuel from the bottle and hoped we had enough to get to Rio Galagos, but i had my doubts.

7 miles outside of Rio Galagos we run out of fuel fortunately Lindsay had more than us, so went into town the search of fuel. While we waited we took selfies.
Eventually L&M arrived after experiencing some issues with border police and diversions, we fuelled up and headed into town

The previously booked Hotel Paris not quite what we were expecting the shag pile on the floor had not see a cleaner for many years. In place sections had been cut out and replaced with something different. Ths place was a doss house and not fit for anyone to be in we would be wondering what we were sleeping with or with ahhh. We move on.
Hotel Patagonia perfect just round the corner very clean and modern what you would expect for £50. Recommendation for dinner the British restaurant very odd particularly as every town has signs about the Falkland should not be British.
