A sick Bike

Bahia Blanca, Central Argentina, Argentina
It's been a bit of a ride over the last few days we had all read articles about the incessant wind and the longing for riding on pavement. Fortunately the gravel went a few days back but the wind was still blowing.

Sometimes it feels like you are riding at 45 degrees then the wind changes and you are blown the other way. The trucks heading the other way push a bow wave of air which hits you and blows you around.

We have two big days in front of us 400 miles each day if we are to reach BA! meet up with Lindsay and Marion and then head up to Iguazu Falls before returning back to BA to fly back to UK for Hayleys wedding.

The scenery does not look like it is going to get any more interesting.

Tom -started to notice a bit of vibration from the back wheel in the last 100 miles was hoping it wasn't a re-occurrence of the final drive problem. After we had found a place for the night and unloaded i checked bike over.
Shit - there was play in the rear bearing, i could not believe it after only 3000miles, there was also a lot of play in the drive-shaft with an unhealthy clunk when the wheel was rotated, this was also given the all clear when checked in Santiago.
It got worse as the front wheel bearing also had play and needed replacing, add these things to the leaking rear shock and the worsening gear indicator, potentiometer, i had a really sick bike.
Seriously depressed i was concerned we reach BA let alone RTW.
