Townsville, Queensland, Australia
Day of admin today Tom took the bike for s service whilst I tried to sort out the vaccinations we still needed.

Tom - took bike to local BMW dealer just out of town, very friendly. This is its first service and the bike is running really well except gear change is really clunky, The usual answer, they all do that. The locks on the panniers keep dropping out so they will try and fix that as well. They ran me back to the hotel really great of them

We went for a walk along the Strand, managed to get some documents scanned which we need for shipping. Townsville is still very quiet even the Main Street most of the shops were closed. It's s bit strange.

On our way back we picked up a sandwich at the coffee club sat in the shade under the mangrove trees. Parrots and Ibis squawked around us all in all a very pleasant lazy afternoon.
Whilst Tom got the bike I carried on with the blog. We have a lot of updating to do.
I sat outside our room in the half shade watched as new people checked in.

Our peace shattered as a couple checked into a room across from us. They were both pissed. The commotion that ensued was unbelievable as they tried to get there bags into their room. There was a huge amount of screaming and shouting as they had problems with their room as it was in full sun. They started packing up to leave I thought bit odd but they were very loud.

I was wrong about the leaving, they must have asked to change Guess where ??????
Oh my it's going to be a long night.

Picked up bike, new locks will have to be ordered from Sydney and the computer is down so service indicator on the bike cannot be reset, they suggest we call in on the way back south and they will fit new locks and reset the computer. This is typical BMW service outside Europe, very helpful but not very effective.
